Open once more

Image result for poetry spoken word
A local invasion, global demoralization,
All hope anesthetized, unfathomable causation.
Sleepless eyes…unable to hypothesize, reluctant…
Numb now, carried off into the unstable current.
-
Slowing number unencumbered, fleeing possession,
Contrary to rising yet sinking compression.
Eyes compelled to digression, reflective thinking long passed,
Pray for another day let this not be our last.
-
Admit recognition, dismiss mindless submission,
Capable of evident logical cognition.
Wake up with the rest, open wide and listen…
You alone can allow yourself the permission.
-
Question the unlikely,
Support those, whom think free.
Don’t heed these words lightly ‘cause they’re coming from me…
-
In unison we struggle,
Yet most suffer more.
Let mere words sink in deep…let them bleed to your core…
-
You’ll shrug it off likely,
You’ve been taught to ignore…
Shed old skin, close your eyes and then open once more…
