FEARS

She lay deep in her bed,
Crawling deep into her covers,
With the hopes that maybe,
Just maybe, they would drown that fear.

But the deeper she crawls,
The more fears she discovered.
And they clawed at her,
Never letting her forget
That they, they were her masters.

So she quickly crawls back up,
As if drowning
And at last coming up for air.
But even as she sleeps,
She still hears fragments of their whispers,
calling her.. summoning her.
